L'AMOUR EST MONTMARTRE

Travel Guide

Our Creative Director had Paris on her mind when designing the Holiday 19 collection. Specifically, capturing that classic French-girl style and blending it with a bit of LA cool. This led us to dreamy Montmartre (think perfect Parisian cafés, the Moulin Rouge, and obviously a little bit of romance). There couldn’t be a more perfect backdrop to showcase our latest collection.

Travel Guide

How could we shoot in one of the most charming neighborhoods in Paris and NOT give you some great recommendations? Here is an insider look at our magical time in Montmartre.

Where to Eat

Pain Pain / 88 Rue des Matyrs, 75018 Paris, France

Famed for their baguettes, this boulangerie/pâtisserie is the perfect stop for breakfast or lunch. You’ve probably seen the playful wallpaper, brass accents, and terrazzo floors on Instagram. Don’t miss: The pistachio eclair (it’s life changing).

Pain Pain

Le Coq Rico / 98 Rue Lepic, 75018 Paris, France

It’s perched atop the steep Rue Lepic and definitely worth the hike. Simply put, this is the best rotisserie chicken you have ever had in your life. The straightforward menu provides detailed info on all locally sourced ingredients and all types of fowl offered. Finish the night with a pastis (they make a great one). Don’t miss: Perfect pomme frites.

Le Coq Rico

Gloria / 48 Rue d’Orsel, 75018 Paris, France

It may seem silly to have Brazilian food in Paris, but the vibe (and food) won’t disappoint. Expat Gloria serves up Brazilian favorites with a French twist in this cozy little local cafe with fantastic cement tiles and plenty of indoor plants. Don’t miss: The Stracciatella with Figs, Olive Oil, and Sea Salt (a magical pairing of salty with just the right amount of sweet).

Where to stay

Hôtel Particulier Montmartre / 23 Avenue Junot, 75018 Paris, France

For luxe accommodations, this 19th century townhouse hotel is an oasis in the middle of Montmartre with an exquisite garden courtyard that will transport you to another era.

Hotels

Hôtel Môm’Art / 42 Rue d’Orsel, 75018 Paris

For something a little more down to earth, try this chic boutique hotel at the foothills of the Sacre Cœur. It’s the perfect home base for a slice of life experience in Montmartre.

What to do

Sacré-Coeur Basilica / 35 Rue du Chevalier de la Barre, 75018 Paris, France

Set atop the city, this stunning white monument is a favorite spot for tourists to capture sweeping sunset views of Paris. We opted for a sunrise pic instead - the light is just as spectacular (but without any of the crowds).

Sacre Couer

La Cave des Abbesses / 43 Rue des Abbesses, 75018 Paris, France

Pop into this wine merchant for a glass of vin before dinner. Sit at one of the four cafe tables that face the street and you’ll find some of the best people watching in Paris. Front tables occupied?  Step through the door at the back of the shop and you will not be disappointed…

Fromagere

La Butte Fromagère / 32 Rue des Abbesses, 75018 Paris, France

Grab a carton of your favorite seasonal fruit and stroll in for some fresh yogurt or cheese. Next, find a bench at Place des Abbesses to just BE. Watch life go by (pretend that you have a little pied-à -terre up the street). Maybe it’s all those hills, but Montmartre is a slower pace than Paris, making it the perfect place to unwind and take in that joie de vivre.
