GET TO KNOW OUR PARTNER: GLOBAL FOREST GENERATION

Nation LTD x GFGRight now, reforestation is essential. It’s one of the simplest, most cost-effective solutions to alleviate the water scarcity and biodiversity loss caused by climate change. We rely on forests for water. Trees perpetuate the water cycle, returning water vapor to the atmosphere through their leaves. And healthy forest ecosystems are home to 80% of the Earth’s land animals and plants, offering the best hope for protecting our planet’s remaining biodiversity.

We believe that truly sustainable development means meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Which is why we are currently committed to planting one tree per order in partnership with Global Forest Generation.

GFG was founded in 2018, and they are focused on the large-scale and long-term restoration of priority forest ecosystems by planting the right species – native trees – in the right places. One of those places is the Andes Mountains of South America.

Nation LTD x GFGThere used to be abundant forest coverage in this region, but a growing population and increasing agricultural production have caused significant deforestation. The forests of the Andes are critical for the Indigenous populations who rely on them for food, water, and jobs.

No technology can do what trees do naturally. Trees are gigantic carbon collectors and reservoirs – soaking up carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and storing it within their trunks, branches, and forest soil. Healthy, restored ecosystems result in climate resilience. Because this area is considered one of the most threatened areas to deforestation, GFG’s tree planting projects are aimed at protecting Peru's beautifully diverse forests and additionally restore degraded land.

Stay tuned for updates on how you can help us support their conservation efforts.
